Here at West Broad Nazarene Children’s Ministries we strive to continually create a safe, fun environment for children. We offer the opportunity for kids to learn about God through our Sunday School studies of the Bible and through worship as Children’s Church. We also value the safety and security of your child. Every adult help undergoes a background screening and every teen helper an interview. There are always two adults with the children in the classrooms. We have a NazSafe policy which further aims to keep your child safe and protected.
On Sunday morning, we have Birth through Kindergarten in the Nursery and Pre-school areas:
Carol Matthews along with her helpers: where they are not only cared for but through several ways learn about God; play and inter act with other children their age; do crafts, and activities that help keep them engaged and learning,
Grades 1 -5 are in the Elementary Area:
Linda Trimble, Childrens Director and Julia Goelz, Children’s Church Leader along with helpers:
Children are drawn closer to God as the learn what the Bible says about God….through music, teaching through hand work sheets, videos that help teach the lesson, and often a craft that challenges them mentally and intellectually. They grow in friendships with other children as they work together on projects.
The most popular event we provide for our children is the annual Vacation Bible School held in the summer, with indoor and outdoor activities, lessons, music , and crafts, And often a visit from 104.9 The River radio or the local Fire Dept., or Sheriff,… Also, other District events are favorites of the kids: The SOC District Children’s Missions Rally held at the Logan Campgrounds, where the children meet and interactive with a missionary, the Intergenerational Bonfire, Hayride, Wienie Roast in the fall is also well attended as well as other times together.
Our adults commit at the beginning of school year to choose a child and pray for that child daily. We believe that will make a real difference in that child’s life at school and home.
